“I am here till the 22nd. Don’t forget I am relying on you to do something for our Arts evening at Thorpness on the Friday 9 to 10pm. Motored down with Serena and one of the children but I am staying with a cousin at Newquay. Very hot today. Lovely sea weather. Angela.”

“Dear Sharon. I hope the you like this postcard. I live about 7 miles from here in a small village called ‘Constantine’. I’m 17 and since I left school last year have worked in a shop in my village. This shop sells all sorts of things from (pencils, food etc) to wines and spirits. TV personalities come to our shop for wines occasionally. Bye Carole P.”

“Tues. The weather has been rather mixed so far. We’ve been lucky to have some very sunny spells, but it’s very windy. The little cottage is fine but comfortable (28 Mortson Road). We visited Great Yarmouth today and are going to Minsmere tomorrow.”

  1. The Porthminster Beach postcard is insane! Is that really a palm tree? And I really like the Model Village in Great Yarmouth. Now I’m bummed I didn’t visit there when I was in Norfolk a few years back.
